Despedida De Soltera
The F6 (me, Rhea, Elanie, Helen, Shie and Jols) have been busy making a surprise for Annie (she complete's the F7 group) and Arvin (Annie's fiance). The surprise came last Feb. 16 when we had a group dinner date at Antonio's Grill in Tagaytay. The couple thought it was a group date, but to their surprise, it was a despedida soltera we organized for them. During dinner, we gave them the scrapbook we've been working on for weeks. They loved the scrapbook and for sure brought a tear to Annie's eyes (peace Annie)...hehehe. We enjoyed making that scrapbook, it tested our creativity and also our skill in sneaking.
Anyway, everyone had a wonderful time and here are some photos to check on...

The scrapbook was handed over to Arvin and Annie.

It has been a tradition of our group to have coffee after dinner and it is usually at starbucks. Here are some funny moments as well as stolen moments at starbucks...

Ang tanging ina (as Joegie have mentioned) at ang magiging ina.

Hmmm...let me think? Esep-esep...

The F7. This is indeed a tradition...to have a group picture every end of an event...
The despedida de soltera was a success and everyone had a great bonding time... To Arvin and Annie, we wish you all the best and CONGRATULATIONS!
Hot air balloon Festival
Last week, our friend Jolana and Helen were talking about hot air balloon festival happening every year at Clark, Pampanga. I've been hearing about the said festival for years now and it's only now that I got so interested to go. I have asked my husband if it's possible for us to join the others in going to Pampanga for the festival and without any second thoughts said yes. Well, with his new camera, i'm pretty sure he wouldn't like to miss the chance to use it and take some shots of it. And so we went to Clark with mama Pina, my mother-in-law; and Agnes, my sister-in-law. It was a nice and wonderful experience.

There had been other activities at Clark that day but after having a short snack, we headed for The Lakeshore in Mexico, Pampanga. The place has a beautiful view. A recommended place to relax and ease up from very busy life.

A special greeting to a special person

My husband celebrated his birthday last Feb. 8. It maybe a late birthday greeting here on my blog but it is better than never to mention it at all.
To my husband, the special person in my life, may you have many more years and blessings to come. May all your hearts desires be granted. And rest assure that i'll always be right next to you.
Again, happy birthday!
A new member of the house
Last January 15, my husband and I decided to buy a pet. Since our trip to Singapore, my husband have been wanting to have a hamster for a pet. Actually his first choice is a dog particularly a pug. However, with a little place we have, having a dog for a pet is not applicable. And so the decision to have a hamster was made final.
We named our new friend Mufasa. For whatever reason, i'm not sure with my husband. Our new found friend has given us such joy for almost a month now. Almost all our visitors enjoys his tricks. My husband always pampers her and cleans her place every week. And now, meet our Mufasa...

Christmas in Singapore
My husband and I had celebrated christmas in a different way. We have been celebrating christmas with our families and this christmas is different in a way that we had it away from our families.
Last December 24, my husband and I together with my sister Armi had a general cleaning around the house. We finished cleaning the house just in time for dinner. So as planned, we will have pancit, ham and brownies for dinner/noche buena. After dinner, we went to Caleruega Transfiguration Chapel to hear mass. Again, we had noche buena courtesy of Caleruega and we ate our noche buena together with strangers (others who attended the mass). Then we headed home.
On Christmas day, my husband and I went to the airport for our scheduled flight bound to Singapore. This is where our christmas adventure in Singapore started. . .

Road Trip...from South to North
My hubby and I just had a great vacation...We decided to go home to our provinces (that's Pangasinan for Joseph and La Union for me) because of a long weekend having Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 as Holiday. We were so excited to go home after a long time of working hard. Our itenerary was purely to visit our families and enjoy some time with them. So, at 3am last saturday, my hubby and I together with some friends left Cavite and we drive all the way to Pangasinan. When we were in my in-laws place, Joseph was fixing his sister's computer while I was sleeping. Out of the blue, Joseph called Rene to ask if they are going to Ilocos 'coz before we went home, Rene and Jolana have been inviting us to join them in Ilocos. At the end of the call, a decision have been made to have a road trip to the north on the next day.
Joseph and I left Pangasinan the next day at around 4:45am and we drop by our place (San Fernando, La Union) to say hi to my father. We reached Jolana's place in Bangar, La Union around 6:30am and had breakfast before hitting the road. While on the road, we have decided to start our Ilocos adventure in Laoag, Ilocos Norte instead of Pagudpud which is only an hour away from Laoag. We thought that we'll not have enough time if we'll proceed to Pagudpud. Then we reached Laoag before lunch time. We had our lunch at McDonalds Laoag. After lunch, the adventure begins...

Vigan, Ilocos Sur

The last leg of our road trip, Vigan. Me and Jolana posing in front of Vigan Church.

Besides Vigan Longganisa, Bibingka and Chichacorn, Vigan Empanada is one of Vigan's trade mark. It is a "must have merienda" whenever in Vigan.

One of Vigan's tourist spot, the ancestral houses. Walking through this street makes you go back to Spanish Era.

After the long tiring yet enjoyable trip to Ilocos, we had dinner at Jolana's place with delicious foods prepared by her mom. It's kind of shameful to admit but we did "eat and run" for the reason that we still have to drive home to San Fernando.
Thus, we end up the day with jokes of having another road trip to Pagudpud on Nov. 1. Our trip to Ilocos have been the highlight of our vacation and it's worth remembering...
